- This work and study programme in architecture is targeted at architecture students from 18 to 30 years old who would like to combine their Italian course with a work stay in Florence.
- You will attend an intensive Italian course during the first 4 weeks and thereafter start your working stage (8 weeks; 32 hours per week) in an Italian Architecture Studio.
- This is not a paid job.
- Our Italian courses in Florence consist of 4 Italian lessons per day.
- Courses are open to all levels, from beginners to advanced according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Groups are very small (6-10 students).
- The teaching method is based on the communicative approach focusing on those aspects of language for achieving effective linguistic interaction.
Learn Italian and work in Architecture
Our school in Florence organizes this programme work & study in architecture all year. The school was founded in 1978. It is recognised by the Italian Education Ministry. In addition, it is recognized as consultancy and training organisation by the Region of Tuscany. The school is located in an historic building in the centre of Florence.
The work & stage course is an opportunity to mix your Italian course with a practical experience in architectural studios.

- Water, gas and electricity costs are included.
- Sheets and towels are provided.
- The flats are shared with Italians, which makes it easier to practise the language.
- Accommodation is allocated approximately 20 days before your arrival in Italy.
- In some cases, it is possible to request a private bathroom (at an additional cost).
If you prefer, you can also request other types of accommodation, such as private apartments or stays with Italian families with half board, always in areas well connected to the centre of the city.

The truth is that both the Italian course and the internship were great… I have to say that all the teachers were very good and fun to work with. The classes went very quickly and were easy to learn and they helped you with everything they could. They helped you with everything they could, and then the internship, I can’t say enough.
