Italian in Turin
Our Italian language course in Turin is held at Italiano Porticando.
It is a family run school. It is located in an 18th century building in the historic city centre.
Classes are conducted in small groups. The classrooms are bright and inviting. The whole school offers a comfortable and cosy atmosphere that will make you feel more at home than at school. Students have a wide variety of learning materials at their disposal, such as books, newspapers and magazines. In addition, you can borrow CDs and DVDs or use them at school.
Italian is the only language spoken at school from the first day. Materials are developed by the teachers and lessons activities will give you the tools to handle daily life situations. There are many different courses available: intensive, long term, for business and au pair.
If you are looking for a charming city, elegant and full of museums to study Italian, Turin is perfect for you.
The school also offers a programme of free-time activities that can be combined with the Italian classes. With these cultural activities you can improve your Italian while you get to know the city of Turin. Between all the activities, we suggest you the wine tastings and chocolate tastings. During your weekends you can go on excursions to visit the Langhe where the most important wines come from Alba, capital of the white truffle.

Annemarie –
Monica, my teacher, was superb. She could not have been better. I profited much from her teaching.
Denys Whitley –
I had an excellent week in Torino, speaking Italian almost the entire time, which is exactly what I was looking for. The school – L’Italiano Porticando – was very professional, the materials interesting and effective and the level of the class was exactly right for me. I will seriously consider returning there in the future to continue the progress I made – one week was not enough! I was also very happy to be placed in an apartment with a landlady who only spoke Italian, an enjoyable walk from the school. I didn’t know much about Torino before I went but I can highly recommend it. The overall organisation by studiainitalia was very efficient, prompt responses to queries and lots of information provided to make the week go smoothly. Well done!
Alicia –
Very happy with the service. Very good Italian language school in Turin and accommodation and good attention throughout the whole process.
Ruben –
I took an intensive Italian course in Turin through Studiainitalia. The experience was excellent. The organisation and the contact with the students were very fluid, and the school was of excellent quality. I have no doubt that I will come back because it was very enriching and I really learned Italian.
Pilar –
I have just completed a one-week course in Turin. Wonderful city. It has been a great experience. Starting with the attentive attention, solving my doubts when I asked for information, the search for accommodation, the classes, the teachers, the leisure activities… everything has been perfect. I totally recommend it.
Poppy –
The teaching at the school was excellent. I really improved my grammar and thought the classes were well balanced between general conversation in Italian and exercises. The afternoon trips in Turin organised by the school were the best part. They were a brilliant way to do something different whilst speaking Italian, a way to make some new friends, and learn a lot from the very knowledgeable teachers at the school.
Barbara Rutigliano –
My husband and I were very pleased with this language school. Our instructors made the classes fun and equipped us with sufficient grammar, spelling and pronunciation skills to navigate in Italy. Grazie!
Maite –
This is the second time I have chosen a stay organised with you and the experience is always fantastic. My trip to Torino was spectacular. The school is good, it is appreciated that there are few students in class and the attention is very direct and familiar. They also organise guided excursions and activities from the school, a wonderful opportunity to practise the language with the other students and to get to know the city. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the school. I would also like to thank Lara and Federica for all their help, facilities and telephone support, a great experience for travelling, learning languages and getting to know life in Italy. Totally recommendable. I will repeat… Torino is also a surprising city.
Maria Jose –
My stay in Torino was fantastic, the accommodation was good and the school was also very good. The only bad thing was that I didn’t have much time, when I was starting to get used to speaking I had to leave.
Jose Maria –
Turin is undoubtedly the ideal place to take an Italian language course. The city has a very intense cultural life and offers many possibilities that other cities don’t have. With regard to the school, I would like to highlight its location and the professionalism and friendliness of all the teachers. The accommodation is also very central. To repeat.
