The city is beautiful, with lots of things to see and visit nearby, and the beaches are also great. The Italian course wasn’t bad. You learn to speak much faster than grammar. All the extra-curricular activities are paid (at least during the week I was there), and water activities such as surfing are not close to Alghero, they are a bit far away. If you’ve hired a car or brought your own, that’s great (15-20 minutes), but if not, it’s about an hour by bus. I recommend the experience, but without surfing, there are loads of things to visit!

I opted for the single apartment for my accommodation and was also very happy with it. Definitely worth considering if you want to enjoy a beach destination and study Italian. What’s more, Ryanair has flights from Madrid to Alghero and Cagliari.

The stay in Alghero was very good. The town is small but very pleasant. The school is fantastic. The teachers are very nice and the owners are very friendly. It’s a shame I couldn’t stay longer. The only drawback was the distance from the flat, but otherwise there were no complaints.
